Andrew R. Sager, M.D.
Dr. Sager grew up in Virginia, where he attended Hampden-Sydney College and the University Of Virginia School Of Medicine. An internship and residency in internal medicine were completed at Wake Forest University/North Carolina Baptist Hospital. After three years of cardiology fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill, Dr. Sager went on to complete a fellowship in interventional cardiology. Dr. Sager is board certified in cardiology.
Todd G. Tolbert, M.D.
Dr. Tolbert was born in Murfreesboro, TN. He attended the University of the South and Middle Tennessee State University. He subsequently attended the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine, followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine. He then completed his Cardiology Fellowship at UAB, where he was Chief Fellow in 2002-03. While at UAB he completed two years of basic research in vascular biology supported by the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Tolbert is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
Aparna Murti, M.D.
Dr Aparna Murti is a native Memphian. She graduated from Rhodes College with B.A. degree in Biology and Greco-Roman studies with honors. She received her doctorate in medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 2003. She went on to complete her internship and residency at the University of Tennessee Department of Family Medicine, where she was elected Chief Resident. She enjoys practicing full scope family medicine, seeing pediatric through geriatric patients. Her special interests include women's health and office procedures. In her free time, she enjoys running, listening to live music and watching plenty of Titans football. Dr. Murti is board certified in Family Medicine.
A. Jamie Slandzicki, M.D.
Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1966, Dr. Jamie Slandzicki attended medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and graduated with his doctorate degree in 1993. He completed his residency training and became board certified in Family Medicine at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1996. Dr. Slandzicki moved to Middle Tennessee in 1998 and practiced in Columbia, TN until joining Nashville Medical Group in 2007. Over the last several years, Dr. Slandzicki has served as a clinical instructor for the Vanderbilt University College of Medicine and School of Nursing. He also has been the principal investigator for numerous major research trials. Dr Slandzicki also serves as the Medical Director at NHC Place - Cool Springs. Dr. Slandzicki and his wife Carolyn married in 1993 and have 3 children. The Slandzicki’s are parishioners of St. Henry Catholic Church in Nashville. Dr Slandzicki enjoys caring for the entire family, from newborn and pediatric care to adult and geriatric medicine.
Clarissa Arthur, MD
With competing aspirations of Metropolitan Opera and the unrelenting desire to be a physician, Dr. Clarissa N. Arthur found a way to blend the curriculum. She attended Emory University with a parallel premed and music curriculum. The sciences dominated the arts with time, as she attended The Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and completed the Family Medicine residency program of the Meharry Medical College. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Arthur enjoys the opportunity of serving, and periodically does international missions with her husband and best friend, Dr. Alexander Arthur, who pastors a local church with a global reach. Every now and then, a patient or staff member may still catch her singing a tune or two.
Wm. Daniel Halford, MD
As a native of Tennessee, Dr. Halford attended Vanderbilt University earning a B.S. in Environmental Science. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences and completed a Family Medicine residency at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Having been in practice for twenty-one years, Dr. Halford treats patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric. He also provides travel medicine services as a certified member of the International Society of Travel Medicine. Dr. Halford and his wife Julia have three children and enjoy camping, hiking, and travel.
Neil M. Price, M.D.
Dr. Price received his medical degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1981. He then completed his internship and residency at the University of Alabama, followed by a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania. An active member of the American Gastroenterology Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Dr. Price is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Mark A. Miller, M.D.
Dr Miller received his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in 1991 where he then completed his internship, residency and fellowship. Dr Miller is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His wife is a Urologist at Vanderbilt University who specializes in Kidney Stones. The Millers have been married for 7years. His hobbies include hiking, fishing and water-skiing.
Joyce C. Eyler, PA-C
Ms. Eyler is a physician assistant in gastroenterology, working with Dr. Neil Price. She received her P.A. training from Trevecca University, graduating in 1983, and had worked in family medicine until joining Nashville Medical Group in 2002. Ms. Eyler serves as the consultant to the state Board of Medical Examiners Committee on Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, as well as, the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants. She has been actively involved in local community folk dance organization for 20 years. She and her husband, David, have three children and five grandchildren.
Patricia A. Arns, M.D.
A Massachusetts native, Dr. Arns graduated from Mt. Holyoke College in 1976. She then attended Mt. Sinai Medical School in New York, receiving her medical degree in 1985. She went on to complete an internship at University of Oklahoma followed by a residency at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Dr. Arns is the proud mother of two sons. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. She is on the Executive Board of Baptist Hospital serving as Secretary of Treasury.
Parminder Bolina, M.D.
Dr. Parminder Bolina attended the University of Illinois where his medical degree in 1996. He performed an internship and residency through Tufts University at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. He enjoys caring for his patients in the clinic setting as well as at Baptist Hospital.

Bryce W. Dixon, M.D.
Dr. Dixon is board certified in Internal Medicine. A native of Shelbyville, Tennessee, he graduated from the University of Tennessee and studied medicine at the University of Rome, Italy before graduating from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Dixon joined Nashville Medical Group after completing internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Affiliated Hospitals. He and his wife, Rachel, an ordained minister, have three children - Gabriel, Matthew, and Caitlin, and a grandson, Roman.
Leslie Douglas-Churchwell, M.D.
Favorite hobbies of Dr. Douglas-Churchwell include tennis, swimming, skiing, and travel. Her husband, Keith, is also a physician, and they have one daughter. A 1982 graduate of Spelman College, she received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburg in 1988, followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University. An active member of Nashville Academy of Medicine and the American Diabetes Association, she participates in philanthropic organizations including Carrousels, Inc., Girlfriends, Inc., Jack & Jill of Williamson County, and Hendersonville Area Links, Inc. She is also on the Board of the YMCA. Additionally, she serves as a board member in Tennessee Women in Medicine, Children’s House Montessori School, and the Nashville Opera Association. Robert L. Forti, M.D., Ph.D.
Landscape architecture is a favorite hobby of Dr. Forti, who recently relocated from Seattle, Washington to join Nashville Medical Group. Dr. Forti received his medical degree in 1985, followed by an internship, at Vanderbilt University. While completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington, Dr. Forti was Chief Medical Resident. He returned to the University of Washington in 1993 to perform an Epidemiology Fellowship. Dr. Forti is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Richard W. Garman, Jr., M.D.
Dr. Garman is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with an added qualification in Geriatric Medicine. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Louisville in 1980, Dr. Garman completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Garman is a clinical instructor for the University of Tennessee and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A Nashville native, Dr. Gibson received his doctor of medicine in 1979 from Washington University. He then went on to complete both his internship and residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. In his spare time, Dr. Gibson enjoys jogging, boating, and painting. He and his wife, Kathy, have two daughters. Bruce E. Richards, M.D.
Bruce Richards grew up sailing on the Tennessee River in North Alabama and later studying at Indian Springs School before pursing his undergraduate studies in chemical engineering at Rice University graduating with Tau Beta Pi honors. He attended Vanderbilt Medical School and received the CIBA community Service Award for his work with the Appalachian Student Health Coalition, graduating with Alpha Omega honors in 1982. He was board certified in 1985 after completing his residency in Internal Medicine at UAB. He has practiced Internal Medicine in Nashville since that time. A member of NAM and TMA, he has been an active supporter of Alive Hospice currently serving on its medical advisory committee. In 2001 he was nominated for the St. Thomas Hospital’s Humanitarian Award. He is the husband to Sherrie Richards (OB/GYN) and the “Dance Daddy” to Kim and Kiri, both majoring in dance. Dr. Richards remains passionate about sailing.

While originally from Michigan, Dr. Michelle Wall has spent many years in the South. After completing her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University, she attended medical school at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She then returned to Nashville to do her internship and residency training at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Dr. Wall is the proud (frantic) mother of three wonderful children. Dr. Manju Kandula is board certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Electro diagnostic Medicine. After earning her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 1989, Dr. Kandula performed an internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, followed by a Neurology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, which she completed in 1993.
